I'm a screenwriter/filmmaker and I'm looking to stretch my writing legs. I've only written (and produced, but that's neither here nor there) my own concepts, and I feel like I should branch out. Also, I've been tied up with a new editing job and while I like to see my work get produced it's simply not an option for me to do it myself right now.
As a filmmaker, I'm a production minded screenwriter with a firm grasp on what is doable. I've gotten awards for a number of comedy screenplays, never a drama, but I'd like to think my drama is nearly as good as my comedy, I just haven't submitted much of it.
I'm willing to take on any project that I think is fresh, clever, or likely to beef up my resume. I'm working on a big pitch, so piling up some awards is important to me right now. Although my specialty is comedy I'm OK with any genre, as long as the producer isn't humorless.
All I ask in return is some room to move with the screenplay, notification if the film wins an award and a percentage on big projects.
