'Come on Down' - Short Film Shot on HVX

I'd be interested to hear your opinion on if you think a 36 minute run time has had any effect on your acceptance into festivals?

I feel that it has held us back at film festivals. We only got into about 10% of the festivals we applied but we won the majority we got into.

After talking with festival directors they feel it is unfair to have a much longer short in a program because you can tell a longer story and show off a bit more than normal shorts.

The reason we made it this long was to prove to our investors that we can tell a longer story that we were able to handle a large crew with multiple locations over a long shoot schedule. With this we succeeded and got funding for a feature.
