Combining 30p and 24p footage ....?

So I shot a wedding and had my little brother shoot some wide backup stuff. I forgot to check the frame rate and he was at 30 and I was at 24. So now 85% of the wedding is in 24 and the rest are some crappy wide shots that I need for continuity.

I dont care hugely about the quality since its pretty gainy anyway. And most of the time I'm only using it for 5 - 20 seconds at a time. Is there anything I can do with FCP (No compressor) to get these to work together?

People have mentioned going 24 to 30 but that seems a pain considering almost everything is in 24p.

Which camera? If it's one that records 24p as 60i, simply do not remove the pull-down and edit at 29.97.

If it records at 23.976, you may need to add the pull-down and then edit at 29.97.

Okay, so you're at 23.976.

Yeah... you'll have to conform one to the other to edit them together. Of course, if the other camera was a T2i and recording at 30, it was 30p recorded at 29.97, but it's still progressive. Converting 24p to 29.97 is going to add interlacing. This is why you must check cameras against each other before you shoot.

The other option (and I know some one is going to jump in and advise against this) is to try and convert the 30p signal to 24p. Philip Bloom has actually gotten some really good results with this (LINK).
