Combining 1080 25p + 720 50p footage + 1080 24p or 720 60p for a 25p timeline.

I shot 85% of my video with 1080 25p with an HMC 152en. (PAL)

I also shot 5% 720 50p with the HMC 152en. (PAL)

This two clip will be edited on a 25fps timeline. HD

The remaining 10%:

Now I have a GH-1 (NTSC) as a B CAM and I'm not sure which format I should use in order to fit in the 25fps timeline.

1080 X 24p (60i) then somehow convert to PAL OR 720 x 60p then somehow convert to PAL then Up rez to 1080 x25p?
Any suggestions?

Is this humanly possible?

Am I in trouble?

Any one in the know out there? I have to shoot tomorrow.

Oh am I very worried. :(

You are not in trouble by any means. From my experience things get wonky (yes a technical term) when you mix 24p and 60p in a 25p timeline. Your best bet is to convert the 24p and 60p to the 25p standard. As for the 50p, you will be fine. I have noticed the main result of editing 24p and 60p in a 25p timeline is frame stuttering that is definitely noticeable on any broadcast monitor or tv (well as on a computer monitor but it may not be as apparent).

An inexpensive way to take care of this (well free actually) is with JES Deinterlacer. It may take a few tries to get the settings perfect. I would export a short test clip from each standard (like 10-30sec), convert that and test in the 25p timeline.

Once you have the settings down, convert all the footage and you should be good to go.
