Colour temperature problem in 'VAR' mode.

I was filming an outdoor sports event a few weeks ago and dialled in a colour temperature of 6400k using VAR mode to adjust the preset colour. All seemed fine until about ten minutes into the game when the camera suddenly decided to reset to 3200k whilst I was shooting without any prompt or warning. Luckily I had a similar CT stored in the 'B' toggle switch position which although not quite 6400k was close enough. Assuming it was just me and I must have accidentally pressed something, I carried on, putting it down to experience. Then it happened again, also in VAR mode whilst shooting at a friend's wedding. Once again whilst shooting outdoors at an appropriate colour temperature, the camera suddenly reset to 3200k, whilst recording.

Anyone else experienced this, and I am doing something dumb here ?

Yes it was 1.81 and I updated to 1.83 this afternoon. Was this a known issue perhaps? I've not seen any mention of it in the firmware release notes. I'll see if it does it again under v1.83, hopefully not right in the middle of a football game of course !
 
I've not seen it addressed in any fw notes. It's almost as if it decide to switch from A to B. It's only done it to me once, if that's what it did. I guess we'll find out...
