Hi, why this append? i have a photoshop file ( an RBG illustration colored, like cartoons style) and when i import it in after effect like a comp, in my preview monitor the colours look very washed, palid, not so strong, what can i do?
If someone have an answer i will apreciate, thanks.

Are you sure its RGB and not CMYK.
Do you have colormanagement on in PS ?

If not just add an adjustment layer and add levels and or curves filter to it. To bring back the color and pop.

You can turn on color management in AE in the project settings. That should right your color issues. Also, in the project window check and make sure your PSD has the right profile assigned. When you select it it will say at the top with all the other info.

Thanks Oneinfinte, yes im working in Rgb mode 8 bits

You should set your working space to whatever your output space will be. AE will then do the conversion for you and keep your colors consistent. If you want it to match then you obviously set them the same. The help is pretty detailed and explains it easily enough and there's plenty of stuff on the web if you get lost or confused.

Thanks both for the answers, unfortunaly i keep the same problem, very weird.
very brigth colours in my tv monitor, by example the red color, i know there is a ¨complicated¨color for work in tv but is just to bright, i tried to set the same color management but the problem still, i will keep triying.

Try changing the color profile to sRGB and using that. That will fix it (or should) though you will get"less" overall colors than with Adobe RGB.

Not sure why the things oninf suggested didn't do the trick.

i will look forward, thanks so much, i guess there i can find the solution in here, thanks again i really apreciate and if i find the solution i will post.

;)
