I have a European (PAL) DVX100E (the first version of the 100), and a (PAL) DVX100A. The colour balance of the factory settings on the "A" are quite different to the factory settings on the "E". The "E" factory (video) settings look very natural and clear. The "A" factory (video) settings are a lot warmer, and colours are more saturated. I have spent many hours trying to colour balance shots of the two cameras with very little success, using both plug-in colour corection tools in Premiere 1.5 and the colour correction plug-ins that come with Matrox RT.X100.
I've also tried to make adjustments to the camera settings, cooling the one, warming the other, but again with very little success.
Has anyone else had the same problem - and has anyone got a solution?
Are the Matrox colour correction plug-ins any good? Is it possible to match shots perfectly with them?
