I went up to Arapahoe Basin Ski Resort the other day to get one of the last days of riding in. The snow wasnt so great so I had some time to shoot some footage of the mountains. I edited a short clip:

I aslo wanted to see if anyone can tell me why at the top of the frame the frame line bounces around. I just noticed it after doing this edit. I have only had this HVX for 3 weeks but was shooting with another one for about a year and never noticed anything like this, even with timelapses. Any ideas? I shot SD, squeeze mode.

Nice looking stuff. ONly thing I could think of for the frame line moving would be if you have the OIS on when you were shooting from a tripod.. It will stutter camera pans for sure.... not sure if this is what's happened to you but turn OIS off if you are on sticks.

cheers

I dont think I had OIS on but I can see how that would definately effect it. especially with sped up footage. I'll figure it out im sure, thanks for checking it out.

Can you talk a little bit about how you did the time lapses? The last one in particular looks great!

I shot SD 24p, film cam and then adjusted the speed in final cut about 4000 % with frame blending off. I filmed each shot for about 15 minutes at a time and thats basically it. Oh, and I used a magic bullet preset, bronze I think, for the color correction which I thought brought the blue out in the sky well.
