Color viewfinder ?

Is it possible to have color viewfinder on the hpx500?
Or is the signal out from the hpx500 only B/W ?

Form what i can figure out on the 500 the VF output are only BW.

The new Panasonic Color viewfinder for HD cams is about $8500 so most will find it not worth it to put on an HPX-500 even if it works.

The output of the VF plug is BW only, it will not support a color viewfinder. You can however use a small hd LCD screen mounted on an arm to use as a viewfinder. just detach the VF and place lcd there. Plug into one of the outputs on the back of the camera.

i second that and add this. if you can find a smaller HD lcd with a component or SDI input, you could use a hoodman hoodloupe or the zacuto hoodfinder to make it into a nice color hd viewfinder EX3 style. might look hideous but will solve your problem.

I have been looking for a stand-alone 3" LCD for an application like this on another camera.. any ideas?
