I'm debating on getting this camera or the HVX but one concern I have is the color-sampling on the Sony. How has color-correction been? Do you have to baby-sit the reds? Ultimately, 4:2:2 would be preferable but, with the higher rez of the CCDS, I'm wondering if it's a wash: lower rez @ 4:2:2 vs higher rez at 4:2:0. Thoughts?

I think the EX1 is better for CC in my experience. I have used both and CC'd with both.

Especially if you are lifting the shadows, there's no comparison.

Only for extreme color warping, where hard color edges define your CC regions will you see a possible advantage from the Panny.

I just did some green screen tests on the EX1 and was very surprised with how well it pulled.

Thanks, matthew77. I probably should rent one of these bad boys before I actually commit to buying one. The few images that have been posted are beautiful but the red channel never lies!
