Color Shift Error

Hello Barry,

indeed the auto white balance was on, i was thinking that being on auto it would adjust by itself.

i was wondering is there a pdf downloadable version of your book to buy and does it go in details with clear examples of how to set the camera for white balance shoots.

Thanks
Paul

You're thinking was right and that is exactly what it is doing...adjusting by itself.

manual says preset but ...

manual says preset but ...

so by using preset you can choose either 5600k or 3200k. what does it automatically choose? i cannot see either choices appear on my menu.

You can choose one of the presets, or you can manually lock in an appropriate white balance. With auto, it changes whenever it feels like it, and so that's what happened to you. Same kind of thing happens with autofocus, autoiris, and auto knee, which is why most pro shooters won't let the camera run in auto, they take over the controls so they won't go changing in the middle of the shot.

The book is not available as a PDF, but you can order it from the link in my signature.

Put the switch to preset and then hit the WB button on the front of the camera. It will switch between 3200 and 5600. It will show on the EVF or LCD display which mode is selected. i.e. as long as you have the details of the display turned on.
