Hi All,
I have spent a ton of time trying to figure out the best workflow for my FS700 4K raw footage coming out of the O7Q. Let me start by saying, after hours of reading multiple threads in multiple forums, there is not great consensus on a single "best workflow." While I love working in Adobe Camera Raw (ACR), I feel the export option to After Effects (AE) is just too time intensive to be practical. While admittedly new to Resolve 10, I am still finding that my color grading in ACR is far superior to that in Resolve. I am working to get better in Resolve, but....
Is there a way to color correct an image in ACR and then use it as the template to be color matched in Resolve 10 or 11? Ideally, I would like to import my raw cinema .dng footage into resolve, color correct to an optimized .dng file from ACR, and then export via Resolve to ProRes 4:4:4:4 for work in FCPX. This way I would have the ease of color correction in ACR and the power of processing from Resolve.
Again, I understand that it would be "better" to just grade in Resolve, but I am personally getting better results in ACR. Any direction would be very much appreciated...
