Hi,

Im newbe with EX1 and have one important quiestion. I did footage in studio with model. Colors (skintones) on camera screen looks perfect. But when I downloaded it and saw this footage on computer everything is different. Looks horrible. White balance is bad, exposure is bad etc. What I did wrong? How to make same look on both screens? (camera monitor and computer).

thx.

sounds like your computer monitor has poor colour calibration/representation.

You could try looking in its menu for colour temp settings

I think that my monitor is calibrated correctly. I have Spyder Pro. Im attaching still from one of my footages.

looks nice on my screen, maybe the calibration is not right, try loading the sRGB profile for your monitor for a comparison view. This is very difficult as you can post as many image as you like but we still can't see what you see on you're screen...

Looks darn good on my screen too! Pink lips register nicely, eye color is a lovely chocolate brown, skin tone has no green or blue undercast. Shadow's registering nicely, no blown highlights.

Not sure what you're seeing, but this upload looks VERY professional from what I see.

Definitely just your monitor and/or graphics card. The EX1 LCD is well calibrated - I've never heard of one that was not - so what you see there is pretty much what to expect in "real" life.

BTW - Nice light setup. What are you uisng?

Hmm. Ive just checked also on iMac 24''. Its much better than on my Benq monitor. But it is still not the same. I think I have to practise more :)

@ Robert Ruffo: This is only what I have (my primary job is a photographer) for photography. Typical pilot bulb from flash light (600W) with Beautydish as a reflector on it. And Arri Junior 2K on back.

My monitor (HP w2207) is calibrated with an i1 Display 2. The still looks a little washed out but the colors look fine. There's definitely a color profile difference between sRGB (computer monitor standard) vs. 709 (HDTV standard) so that accounts for a lot.

I have the same issues where the color/contrast looks fine on my HDTVs but I HATE the output on my computer monitor. It drives me nuts that my web videos look so washed out.
