Color Correction

I am new to the forums and am interested in purchasing the AF100, but one thing is holding me back and I haven't been able to find much information on it; how does the codec hold up in regards to color correction/multiple levels of post, without using an external recorder (nanoflash, ninja, ki pro, etc)? I have read that the internal codec is surprisingly good and nearly indistinguishable from an 8 bit 4:2:2 image that can be achieved using one of the external recorders, however I want to know if there is any truth to this and if the internal codec handles post work well. Thanks!

I pretty much color correct everything I shoot and haven't had any issues with the codec. Others have had great success with green screen keys as well.

Same for me. I shoot everything in Cine-Like D gamma preset and color correct in post. The codec handles well as long as your footage is correctly lit/exposed but I've had problems with some underexposed stuff where some posterization effect showed up in dark gradients and heavy dof effects. Here's an example :

And the 4:2:2 HD-SDI output won't help much…
