Color Correction

Did some color correction to a clip to give it a film-look in Sony Vegas Pro 9 and need some constructive criticism! Also, the second color correction is leaning towards a bleach bypass look. Thanks!

i like both of them, what plugs did you use?did you shoot with the d90?

Thanks! For the most part it was the three-way color corrector and brightness and contrast. Shot with a d5000.

I don’t know what look you are going for but the first one (3 second mark) has a gritty / old documentary look to me.

The 2nd one (11 second mark) has a more modern look.

That was my initial thoughts.

Could you maybe explain 'modern'? Does any of the two look anywhere near cinematic?

What I meant by modern is it looks like it was shot recently. Not 20 years ago.

I don’t know what you mean by “cinematic”. Most movies today seem to make everything dark and gloomy, is that suppose to be cinematic? Or they bleach out the colors for that apocalyptic look. So I don’t know how to define a "cinematic look".
