Color Correction Sequence and an Export Question

Spent some time yesterday filming my kids in the backyard trying to familiarize myself with the UNBELIEVABLE amount of settings on this camera. I shot in a bunch of different modes and frame rates and then cut together a quick sequence and applied a variety of different color corrections and effects in FCP and then Motion. Here's the clip:

On to my question.

I exported the file from Motion using compressor and the export preset was "HD DVD: H.264 For DVD Studio Pro 60 Minutes". The resulting file was stretched. Here's a grab of it:

Next I exported it using the export preset "H.264 Lan Streaming" and it looked fine (just as it did on the screen within motion). Here's a grab from it:

Why the stretch? I'm sure this is probably an easy one for the veteran FCP/Motion people. I searched for info on export settings but didn't find a lot. Thanks for any help.

Best Guess, right off the bat:
You cut in a non-16:9 sequence -
Your footage is being letterboxed because your sequence settings don't match your source. If this is indeed DCVPROHD material try to do the following
In the Final Cut Pro Menu select Easy Setups> Then select which ever format you shot I'm guessing 720p 24 because you mentioned variable frame rates.
After this start a new sequence and then copy and paste your old sequence into it - should work
