Color Correction on EX1 Project

Hello,

We are editing our EX1 1080i50 PAL project here in the US in Final Cut Pro.

We are looking into workflow and options for color correcting the final edit.

One way that we are attempting is to output a segment using Media Manager and creating a TARGA sequence. A color correction company that we're working with, as well as the technician in France who we will be doing the ultimate mastering (on-line), has suggested outputting the segment this way.

However, this is creating massive sized files and is taking a long time to output. Does anyone know a more economical way to output for color correction? Apple Pro Res HQ I believe creates a 4:2:2 color space that should work for the colorist?

Excuse my ignorance about Color Correction- it is my first time taking a project all the way through to the end and we're learning as we go with the best way to finish on tapeless acquisition.

I think you already have your answer. They're the ones you're paying and trusting to give you the results you want. Give them exactly what they are asking for.
