Does anyone have any color correction ideas? Could any of you post some of your edited versions of these grabs so I could figure out the best way to go about CC? Please download and mess with these grabs. Thanks and I can't wait to see what some of you come up with.

Edit: I think I mean Color Grading

Re: Color Correction Help

Doesn't look like they are in need of any correction. Do you mean more along the lines of color grading?

Re: Color Correction Help

Yeah maybe color grading..i dont know...make them look a little more touched up..

EDIT: I posted the first grab again..I edited it a little bit..but it should give you an idea of what i mean...i kinda want a rough look i guess...kinda contrast-y...

Re: Color Correction Help

aww, heck I give up!... Dude experiment! Plus I don't even know what your movie is about. You have to adjust and tweak accordinally to how you feel.

cool well thanks for the replay and messing around with the grabs BLUESPIDER..I just kind of wanted to see what some people come up with...and what an awesome place to come for this kind of stuff...thanks for your time.

Re: Color Correction Help

Alright from a graphic designers standpoint the shot looks good. All it needs is a little TLC from levels and contrast. One mistake I see all to often is peope adding a crazy amount of filters to this amazing camera. If you didn't light the scene properly to begin with... filters can only do so much untill they look cheesy :-/ Here's my B&A ;D

Re: Color Correction Help

I think the originals look very good.

What programs are you guys using to do the colour correction?

Re: Color Correction Help

Hudson and avatuar...very nice...I dig those..could you guys give the details on the correction and the software used? Thanks for all the examples this is a sweet thread..I enjoy seeing what people come up with.

Re: Color Correction Help

I would find it hard-pressed to give you details on how it was accomplished (I did it while on the phone doing reference checks today). I used Vegas.

I tend to adjust in order:

BRIGHTNESS - CONTRAST

Ever so sleight using the VIDEOSCOPES paying close attention to IRE 100 and 0/7.5

COLOR BALANCE

I removed a touch of warmth (RED) while adding a bit of YELLOW/GREEN

COLOR CORRECTOR SECONDARY

Sleightly oversaturated paying close attention to the RED in the face and seating booth; adjusted GAMMA and LEVELS while paying superclose attention to the Scopes again.

TV SIMULATOR PLUG IN

Turned everything off except PHOSPHORENCE and the SCAN PHASING. Adjusted to liking.

Re: Color Correction Help

Again, not sure what you were after but I gave it a go.

That was just with Vegas, not MB.

Re: Color Correction Help

HAHA! Hudson turning everything into a zombie flick! ;D

My favorite tweak so far was from newbie INSOMNIAC.
