Re: Color correcting?

Thanks, i know that im too fond of colors. But its good to hear it from guys that knows what they are talking about. Most people think the more real its looks the better (that means they like newsreports over motion pictures)

Well gonna try if i can find any good "in between" color correction method. Suggestions are more than welcome.

Re: Color correcting?

Its just a replica i bought about 10 years ago. I was intrested to make movies even then, only not that serious projects that im into now :)

Re: Color correcting?

What's the style you're going for here? That makes all the difference. If you're looking for a pleasing, yet realistic, tone, you're way off the mark now. But, if you're using color as a means of setting atmosphere, as part of the storytelling, then maybe it's great. Not enough inormation to know. What kind of a feel are you trying to achieve?

Re: Color correcting?

Well i dont want it to too look to much as it was filmed on video. But when i watch movies like the more colorfull ones. So its difficult to say. But i like the gladiator look more than the trainspotting look.

The short we are planning to shoot are a recruiting film for Snipers in the Swedish army. The shooting will start at spring so i have som time testing different looks.

The last colorfull picture was more fun to test, not that im gonna make that in a movie  :)

Re: Color correcting?

Hmm if i can lend my feedback. I'd say the original shot was to lowly lit. If you ask me, even the original, uncc'ed shot is unsatisfactory. Maybe thats the look you're going for, but just seeing that one shot. I feel it's way to dark.

Re: Color correcting?

Well actually I didnt make so much lightning preperations. This is just test footage.

But none of the pictures actually are the orginal one, all 4 is colorcorrected, just testing different colorcorrecting methods.
