Color Correct

I was wondering if everyone color correct on their footage? I set my hvx up to the look I wanted which turned out pretty well and didn't have to do any color correction and was wondering if anyone was able to get their 5d setup that way or it is pretty much a lost cause and color correction is the only way one has to go to get that look they wanted?

Here is footage from my last film 'Memoirs of a Vampire' without any color correction. For some reason the color isn't coming out as good as it is shown on my main computer not sure if I have to change the format for youtube?

Well, it depends. CAN you get it set where minimal correction is needed, yes, but if you are making a narrative film (as opposed to event shooting) color correction is as much a part of the process as editing. You generally do a minimum of three passes through every shot. First you tweak the white balance, then you match shot to shot, then you apply the final "look". That's bare bones color correction. It gets more complex from there.
