Color Changes - ATW Question

Stupid Question #245:  When I am recording in a room, with controlled lighting, the colors change from one take to another. Example I record myself sitting in a chair, stop recording, get up to look at the monitor, sit back down, and I record again. Unfortunately, now ALL the colors have changed. Dramatically. I figured ATW was a helpful tool. But it seems like it's only causing problems (even in controlled situations). How do you suggest handling White Balance? What's the best procedure (step 1, step 2, etc.) for the DVX?

White balance against a white card and don't change anything unless the lighting itself changes. (And I don't mean just more shadows or anything. Actual light changes...new lights or something)

Exactly. Don't go with ATW unless you have no choice.
