Color Bars on DVX100 (not 100A)

Hi Guys,

Im new here, Im about to purchase a used DVX100 for a really great price (cant afford the new 100A right now) and had a pretty basic question about it.

Does it generate color bars? I downloaded the PDF and there seems to be a function to hide/display stmpe color bars . . . is this it?

I appreciate any responses to this. Thanks

Cool, thanks. If its all going out to 60i eventually, should it matter? Thanks again.

Not really. I shoot a short color bar with 60i.then switch it back to 24pa. Just remember to switch it back to 24p!

Also remember to set the menu in the 60i to NDF timecode so the tape doesn't get tagged as DF later when capturing.

Thanks guys. I got the camera and tried it out yesterday. Works perfectly for what I need.
