Shooter Veteran Jan 17, 2011 #1 I shot AF100 color bars and viewed them in the CS5 PPRO waveform monitor. They read 0.3 to 0.9 I can understand the 0.9 (90% white) but why 0.3 for Black? Can some one confirm this in PPRO and FCP please.

A Alpha Beta Omega Veteran Jan 17, 2011 #2 In the days of analogue tape formats bars were used to calibrate for each recorders level. So having that in mind you might have to adjust black level until 0 in playback to get it right. But I don't know if this is true for this camera.

A ASG Well-known member Jan 17, 2011 #3 FWIW I transcoded a shot of the bars from my AF102 to cineform avi, then had alook at it in AE CS3. The black is 0,0,0. The white varied 253-255. Last edited: Jan 17, 2011
