I am reading an old book called Electronic Cinematography by Harry Mathias and Richard Patterson and was wondering about color balancing todays HD cameras. They talk about using the waveform to correctly balance a chip chart. Is this necessary to do with an HVX200 camera or is simply using the white balance enough?
Another question, is the FCP waveform sufficient for checking exposure? or should i direct that question elsewhere in the forum? i did do a search for these questions and didn't find anything conclusive.
thanks
