College basketball game

[patssle]

For those interesting in college sports...I took my camera to my college I graduated from and shot a basketball game just for fun this weekend. Shot it at 60p for some great slow-motion shots. Unfortently the lighting in the arena sucks...so I was forced to keep a low shutter at 100.

I liked it a lot, the music made it really intense. Where did you get the music?

[dantewaters]

Yes well executed...

[patssle]

I am told it was the theme song to 'the contender'. (espn's reality boxing show).

Thanks!

Very nice, can you tell us other details?
was this 720p? 1080i/p? did you use a 35mm adapter? color in post? etc...

thanks

[patssle]

It was 720p 60p. Basic camera, no adapters or anything. Can't remember the scene file off hand. Applied a gamma curve and saturated it a tad in After Effects.

I'm pretty sure thats the theme music from "the contender" correct me if im wrong.
Very intense song, Nebraska used it for their tunnel walk a few years back.

OU used it too for their intro. Its a very cliche sports song in college athletics.

Makes sense that OU used it. The director of their production company used to be a student worker at Nebraska's. But yes it is a very cliche sports song. Just like Enter Sand Man, or Sirius.
