Just a quick update to say the FS7 worked flawlessly in the cold (as expected, per everyone's claims). Thank you all for the suggestions!
It was about mid-20s F, so not brutally cold (but cold enough). The only thing I didn't think of was how cold my 15mm rails would get, although someone mentioned this being an issue with aluminum tripods so I should have expected it. But otherwise things were great: no issues with the screen, the lens, or even the battery. I brought a spare with me just in case (tucked in an interior pocket) and didn't end up using it.
Thanks again to everyone for the tips! And by all means keep them coming; I plan on heading back out with my Fs5 sometime soon and am hoping it holds up just as well.
