I have a question. I just received my boom pole (Gitzo), but my XLR cables are too big to fit through the inside of the pole. This may be a stupid question, but did I get the wrong size cables or what???

cur the end, fish the wire through the pole, take out a soldering gun and have fun, while you are at it, get a right angle XLR for your mic...

or depending on your boom, you could get the already coiled cables with XLR bottoms from K-tek
