The Codex Onboard M Recorder can record ARRIRAW, Canon RAW, uncompressed HD or wavelet encoded HD material - plus audio and metadata - onto a removable, solid-state Codex datapack.
It can also record high-speed material or two channels (either stereo or from two separate cameras). It is weather-resistant and weighs only 2.5kg/5.7lbs. Frame rates up to 60 frames per second are supported.
The Codex Transfer Station quickly copies files from a Codex Datapack to local or network storage.
The transfer station is a dock that mounts the Datapack to a Mac via an SAS connection, allowing for offloads of ARRIRAW or rendering of deliverables to a shuttle drive via the Codex Virtual File System (VFS).
The VFS is a simple interface running on the Mac that allows verification/editing of metadata prior to rendering via easy to set up, accurate templates. These copies are made with full checksums.
