F35: Codex M playback in Viewfinder?

Just trying to finalize my setup here and had a question for any of you who use/used the Codex M with the F35. Is it possible to have playback from the Codex show up in the viewfinder? I know the orignal recorder could do it and my F35 is set up to auto in the VF options to switch to showing the playback signal from the VTR if detected but it isn't working at this point. Any tips would be appreciated, thanks.

I always understood it that the Codex should work just like the actual recorder, if you have the proper mount for it.

Have you asked Codex? They are very helpful.

Yes it has the proper mount and everything else is working perfectly. Thay is my understanding as well so I suspect it is probably just a setting buried away somewher. I contacted Codex and they were very helpful in helping me get the transfer station up and running but I have received no reply yet about this particular issue.

Now something interesting, if you look at Samana's Codex rig, he always has a 5" LCD connected to his codex I believe. Perhaps this is for playback scenarios?

I can't imagine it wouldn't be possible, we know the Codex can do everything else the dock is capable of. I'm inclined to believe it's a double menu scenario.

I agree, I have not had much of a chance to look into it but if I figure it out I will post it here for future reference. I still have not had a chance to find out were to change it from CINE-EI to CINE mode so there is a very good possiblity I am overlooking something. Really hoping to get some time to mess around with it again here soon.

Found out how to change to CINE mode, according to Codex playback in the viewfinder is not possible.
