Codec breaking?

Hey guys,

i'm using the lpowell 40mbps high reliability setting with my Patriot LX series 16gb class 10 card.

It seems that everytime the camera move the video turns into blocks. does this mean my card is not up for it? or do i have funky setting somewhere?

I think it's the video player you are using that's causing playback issues. Play the stuff on your tv to check.

it looks like this on Premiere CS5 as well, so i'm worried that it's an in camera thing. im not getting write errors, and the camera isn't locking. so i'm confused as to why the footage would be like this..

i get this on premiere also, its because it is playing mts files. it is the player not the footage.
does your exported footage look the same?

take my quick advice and dl splash lite player if you are on a pc and i can 99% guarantee you it will play clean.

Thanks fanny. I tried splashlite and it works well. im running on a mac so i had to do it via parallels. so my footage will always look like this unless i play it on a specific player?

yes if you plan on only playing original mts files. if you edit and export then it will play on anything depending on your export settings. the majority of us here edit and export our footage so its not really an issue to have a dedicated player =)

i updated vlc so everything is ok now. hoprefully its not off topic, but what's a good program to remove pulldown in macs? I know neoscene does it pretty well on PC.

same here with adobe premier, playing clean with final cut ( and vlc latest version on mac). no need to be worried. import .mts files with adobe premier.. i didn't try.. it should work and i think that make difference .
