I just shot this not too long ago with my HVX Letus set up. Also color graded it. The editor crushed the blacks more after I handed the project back to him which I just found out.

My buddy Zafer Ulkücü was the gaffer. I cannot stress enough on how great of a gaffer Zafer is....

Make up, not sure who it was.

We did this with a extremely small budget. I couldn't tell you an exact amount of money spent on this.

Sole purpose of the video is tor promote Lues music production company (VMAD), not to promote his music. In fact, you can not buy this track.

What do you like / not like about the cinematography and color grading. Lue, Geoff and I love constructive criticism.
 
I think it looks really, slick man--footage looks uber clean (I can never get grain free footage whenever I shoot with an adapter, so kudos man).

Did you find the HVX's low light capability to be a problem?
 
The HVX low light capability is almost always a problem. My iso is somewhere inbetween 100-200 with an adaptor/slr lens.

Its ridicules.

But I have been shooting with the HVX for about 4 years now and understand the gamma setting pretty well.

I try to direct the viewers eye to the cleanest part of the screen. The most well light.

Also, instead of getting crazy with color correction in post. I always work my settings to an halfway point for the look I want. Not to go overboard or standard with the settings. So in post I can push either way without worrieing too much about noise.

Another great tool is too keep the information in the frame overall brighter than darker. Unless I want a coal color black in frame.

In my opinion its always better the crush mids and blacks than bring them up. Keeping that saturation and crispness.

Could you please tell me which lights you use here:
- 0:46 (solo rap purple curtains)
- 0:54 (solo rap in the dark)
- 1:19 (party shots in the club)

It would be nice if you could tell me wich lights you used there and maybe how you positioned them..
