This is my latest work in 1080P HD. Several time-lapse sequences of clouds approaching sunset. Colors tweaked to make a deep contrast for dramatic effect.

"Cloud Metamorphosis" Shot with XDCam EX

This video was captured with the new Sony PMW-EX1. I used custom picture profiles that I developed for cloud capture. Final video was color graded in Adobe Premiere, using just the tools that are part of CS3. Music track performed by me on Kurzweil K2600RS.

Excellent work, Mark. I especially liked the clouds at 1:25 with the setting sun skimming across the bottoms. I'm looking forward to a lot of weather-related shooting with my EX1 if I can EVER get Sony to fix the d**m thing.

Sunset clouds are the best, if you can find 'em. I frequently see such cloud formations while driving, but I seldom have camera with me, so I have to make a deliberate effort to find these things and hope that a good sunset will happen on cue.

My EX1 is going in for the battery drain problem fix this coming week. Right after Memorial Day.

I took my Bridgeport Symphony Blu-Ray disc that I made, to Best Buy today and surveyed all of the BD players in the store. I found a Denon, two Panasonics, a Sony and a LG player that played the disc. Two Samsungs that would not. But on one of the Panasonics that was hooked up to a Sony Bravia projector (full HD 1080P), projected on an 80" Stuart screen, the XDCam footage looked gorgeous. It was not possible to tell if it wasn't film projected on that screen, and so detailed.
