Well... I wanted to see exactly how much detail I could juice out of my cam at an affordable cost. So I bought a Hakuba closeup lens and took some footage of my buddy's eyeball. Subject is approx 6 inches from the camera. The lens is extremely sensitive and pretty hard to focus that close. (came out of focus by just a movement of couple centimeters)
I was pretty amazed at the detail of the footage.

Lighting was a 300W OSRAM pointed away from camera at a cabinet dresser 3 feet away from camera

The other pics are first time shooting at lower light.

grr.. for some reason, photobucket resized 1/2 my pics? But the other half they kept at 720. I'll try to upload again. Send me a message and I'll send you the original uncompressed. But for now, the Weekend-Gods call me to party in San Diego and get trashed in the Gaslamp district tonight! whoohoo!

Really nice shots. The detail is incredible. After seeing your shots I tried the same without the lens you used and couldn't get that close without losing focus. Nice shots.

yo.

Thanks all!

*Norm. I can't seem to find it online. I found it at a camera show.
Brand: Habuka 72mm. I think it's a 4 times closeup lens. lol it had no packaging, just the plastic canister.

*Lincoln, yes it was VERY hard to keep focus. Even if the subject stood there absolutely still... I could still see the eye move out of focus if he moved a single mm or cm.

*soundman, in process of finding a service provider so I can put up movies.
