clip wont transcode no matter what i do but its good...

I have one clip which is a series of 3.. and it will not transcode.

I have tried log and transfer,.. i can see it in the preview window. it plays fine. it looks fine. no stutter or issues...
I tried log and transfer from the card. nothing.
i tried copying all the contents to the machine and then logging and transferring from there.. nothing.
I tried to put it into compressor, but compressor wont accept it (unless I am doing it wrong)

can someone offer me some help? its a really important file.

piece was captured onto a 16 gig card. one long continuous shot which was broken into a series of 3... the other 2 work great and fine. and everything else that was shot on my other 5 cards transcoded and worked just fine. its this one clip that wont.

i appreciate any help in advance.
 
Have you tried passing it through P2CMS? And export it to a different folder then log and transfer in FCP.

When P2CMS exports the shots it recreates the architecture of the files around the MXF which helped me a couple of times.
 
well thats one of my issues... is this is an educational institutions computer and we do not have that p2 software. :(

would there be another way?
