i have taken an avid express pro HD project from PC to Mac. Everything thing transfered okay, except 1 clip. the clip is there in the proper folder, but avid is not reading it. The pc reading the avid is working okay but not the mac. Whats wrong? is there a way to fix this? or make it work? any help would be amazing

Have you tried the usual? Rebuilding the media database? relinking? opening the media tool sometimes brings the file back online. It's stupid but works.

Also, I have a question. So you're saying the media is in the media folder but the avid is not reading it online. So you obviously are seeing the clip in the Avid bin but it is saying it is "offline media". Am I right? Last thing, are you 100% sure the media file is in the media folder. How can you tell? I know you can kinda see with the file name in the media folder but are you sure it's it. Lastly you might want to try going back to the pc Avid and copying the file over again for the missing media file only.

Do this
on the Mac Avid
make a new bin - copy the offline clip in it and save
copy bin to PC Avid
open in your PC Avid
click on the file and do - reveal file (if there are multiple files like audio along w video grab that too)
copy those files over to the Mac Avid media folder
copy and open the bin on your Mac Avid

Hope this helps
