Clip-Hvx Randomness

Well, I've had my HVX for about 3 and a half months now.

I was going through my HDD's, cleaning some stuff off of them. I started looking at my first footage, and ended up putting togethor a little compilation, to music, of samples from my first few weeks of screwing around with the camera, before I delete it all.

The first shot is the very first frame I ever shot with the HVX. I don't know the settings. They are all different. Like I said it was some of my first footy. Just screwing around, testing things out, etc. I do know that it was all shot 720pn.

For some reason my h.264 outputs end up a bit washed out. Haven't figured out what to tweak on output yet to fix that.

I really like the footage and the color depth you are getting in some of it. Remember
what scene file you used, or other settings?

Sorry man. I don't remember too well. It was 2-3 months ago, and was just my initial screwing around with the camera and trying things out. A lot of it was probably some small variation of the default F2 or F6.

I am pretty sure (though not positive) that the dog footage where the dog is sitting at attention was shot with Barry's Filmic scene file, or some minor variation of it. Maybe CineV instead of D. Maybe a bit more saturation. I White Balanced it a bit off to get that more golden look. That's about all I remember.

Later,
Jason

Nice footage.

I noticed you had several clips of a shotgun being fired and a handgun. I am shooting at an outdoor rifle range next week and was wondering what methods I should use to protect the on-board mic from any noise damage. Was there anything you did here to protect your gear?

i shot at a shooting range, and i was a couple of feet from the guy shooting. i just turned my volume way down. a couple of the casings hit my lens but i had a UV filter on it.
