Clip from "13 hours" (DVX100a) :30 seconds

pretty cool. i liked the color and lighting in the room originally before you put any flicker, etc effects on it as well. is this for a music video or something? just wondering why you decided to not hear them screaming. not that i know the story or anything up to this point, maybe this is just a sole test scene.

did you have a bit of trouble passing by the girl on her far side the first time or did you just crop some of that out to speed it up a bit?

post more footage.

I used the flicker filter, blink and stop motion blur in FCP. In this 15 minute short, this is the first moment that something odd/surreal happens as the viewer has been lulled into a false sense of comfort. Things get weirder later. No scream was heard to make it feel more "off" as the music replaces the scream with its staccato pulse. I'll put a another clip up later...thanks for the feedback.

I dig I dig. I don't really get it in the context shown; "One, Two, Three!" and then camera goes nutz and the colors change and and and.................

I was liking it visually though.

Very cool. Looks incredibly "saw"-like though, if you've seen that.

Please post other clips from this if you have it. I liked the effect and look a lot.

The 1,2,3 reference is because they thought they heard people outside the room and where trying to get their attention. I posted a trailer a month back and got deluged with the SAW reference. The writer wrote this about three years ago and freaked out when SAW came out. I shot and edited/effects only...but I can obvioulsy see the same hook...Their were sharks in Jaws and Deep Blue Sea and I think a couple space ships in both Star Wars and Star Trek...giggle. New clip coming...

Well from the clip it shows Two people alone in a room chained up... not quite as vague as sharks or space ships. And it doesnt matter whether this guy wrote it years ago or today, since Saw came out last year it will be compared to it, no matter what.
