clip 35'sh? causing fcp crash?

sometimes fcp will crash on me when i'm log'n & transfer'n. its usually around clip 35. i'll be going through setting my in/outs and renaming files and i'll get beachball of death. and usually i haven't started transcoding my clips yet so then i have to start back over. not fun. just wondering if anyone else has had a similar situation.

Are you updated to 6.0.5? I had the same issue before I updated, but works fine now.

yup, updated. it usually will work after the 2nd time but i usually go backwards through the clips. its just an inconvenience.

If you have Perian installed, it can cause crashes too. Go to your system preferences to see if it's there. Boxee uses Perian, and a few other third party apps install it as well.
