Hello guys, this is my first post here but i am watching this community for a long time, thank you for sharing you passion to a guy from a place too far and too small. in my 30's i decided that i want to be a film maker a hard decision since this kind of thing are for too little people where i live (Greece). I made a trailer for a movie i want to do using only basic equipment and no money trying to find funding or a least a job in the field since i dont have proper (or none) education and havent done anything before this. i am posting this here to tell me your opinion witch is very valuable to me! thank again

Your first attempt? Are you kidding me?

Wow.

What did you shoot this on? What did you use for sound? effects? lighting?

I cannot fathom how, you were able to do this your first time out, unless you just had a large budget or something.

Ive made 5 shorts and a documentary, and i still struggle to get close to the look you have achieved.

keep it comming

i shot it with the HVX200, m2encore, canon lenses, light it with 2 600w lamps and 1 studio flash (used the pilot) edited and color corrected in FCP, used after effects and 3dsmax, i will post some pictures for before and after, the first time goes to doing actual footage for a movie (also a script and production), all those tool is my investment 3 years ago for my bussiness witch did'nt found a market, i started as a photographer (with no formal education) and tryied to be in video also, as for how did i do this i am no genius, forums like this offered me the knowledge to do it (so a big thanks goes to you guys), what i want to find out is : can it pass (the trailer) as good movie? if someone sees it will he interested to go and see it? and if it has a good script would someone invest on it as a low budget film?

some screenshots from the production

Wow... looks awesome and very cool to see how your set looks like comparing with the final results... very creative!

This may be your first attempt, but it sure looks like you know your sh*t!

Looks really good man, I was very impressed seeing the Behind the Scenes photo vs the final shots.

I'd definitely want to see a full movie based on this.

You've got talent, glad you decided to start making films!

thanks, i am glad too that started and hopefully ican do this for the rest of my life, but still this is only the start and things are'nt that promising (yet i hope), anyway, yes i used max for those scenes, thanks again!
