FS5: Clear Zoom any good?

Now that a lot of people are getting their hands on the FS5, is the "Clear Zoom" any good?

I couldn't find any video tests of this feature online. Maybe someone with an FS5 wouldn't mind sharing a video?

Thanks.

In the presentation by Alister Chapman he claimed it's good.
I assume it's pretty much the same as in the A7S which works really good. Maybe wouldn't use it for the most critical things but as situations where extra reach is necessary I don't hesitate to use it either.

it's a sensor crop as far I as know. I've been using it with my a7r ii in 4k.
Up to 1,5x it's fine. I wouldn't go further in 4k because noise becomes more apparent.
Haven't tested it with HD, but I bet it's ok.

In this video there is 4K digital zoom using a 1970's Canon FD f1.4 lens wide open and the kit lens:

Download the 4K file to really see what is going or or at least watch in HD on Vimeo. Even the DL file is compressed.

IMHO digital zoom works great

Thanks for posting this.

The digital zoom looked very good on the FS5. I didn't notice any drop in IQ.
