Hello everyone!
This past Saturday, I began production on my new thriller enitled "Clear". "Clear" was a concept created a few years ago and the original version was made with some friends on subpar equipment in my hometown.
After all these years, I was still intrigued with the concept and knew if executed using my current knowledge, perhaps I could have something very special on my hands.
So, using better equipment, actors, and a MUCH better script (the original was sooo dull and undeveloped!), I set out on a journey to get this mo-fo made!
Here is the current plot synopsis:
“Clear” is a thriller that takes place in the year 2017 and revolves around the character of Damon, an intellectual sociopath who has finally reach the edge. The film begins right when he finally decides to teach “society a lesson”. Believing that modern people and contemporary society is corrupt and unjust, he reaches the decision that he must make a statement. Through mass murdering by use of explosives, he wants to punish the masses and show them the error of their ways through his unjustified actions (which, to him, are fair). Damon is unlike a traditional maniac as in he is quiet, dresses well, deep, thoughtful, and tries to justify his actions through reason and logic When his mass attacks begin, two detectives, Parker Koyama and Angelina Kyles, from “Public Conflict Unit” of the city’s law enforcement are assigned the case in a effort to track down the menace and prevent any further actions. As the film progresses and the investigation continues, matters get more philosophical and psychological, we learn more behind the mind of Damon and the detectives, and we are introduced to concept and motives much more complex and frightening than anything the we can conceive or expect
The style of the film is meant to reflect the cinematic styles of asian cinema and japanimation (especially the color palette of "Ghost int he Shell")
Here are the stills from the first day of production. Enjoy!
I apologize for them being completely letterbox and not cropped. These photos were rendered for others so I didn't get a chance to crop them for this site!
