I use a microfibre 'eye glass / lens' cloth and basically 'puff' on it. Or use a 'LCD wet wipe' if conditions are too warm to produce condensation.
I NEVER use any cleaner on the LENS. For that I only use a puff and micro fibre.

I've never needed more than a damp cloth for the LCD.

Because I've had a UV lens protector in front of it since the first five mintues it's been out of its box. It hasn't had an opportunity to get dirty or smudged. I check it frequently to make sure it's still clean, and it always has been.
Some say you should remove the UV LP when you shoot and treat it as a clear lens cap. I understand the reasoning. However, I have not done that.
