Clean JVC or Z1 with mini 35 ?

I'm shooting a music video next week and I can’t decide about with camera to use. I'm deciding between the JVC HD100 or Sonys Z1 with the mini 35 adapter. I'm really interested in testing the JVC out but I still want the most "cinematic" experience I can get so...
What do you all think?

Sony + mini 35
or
JVC with the stock lens

(If there’s somewhere in Sweden where I can get hold of the adapter to use the mini 35 for JVC I will use it, but it looks dark)

Stop loss on the mini35 is different from the 300 model to the 400 model.
If the JVC seems dark to you, play around with the gamma before you increase the gain. You may be surprised at how sensitive you can make it in 0 dB.

I mapped many of the gamma curve possibilities here:

As long as the JVC is guaranteed "clean", then go with JVC in 24p.

If not, the Z1 is the only option right now. Stream it through Magic Bullet if you need 24p.

I agree-JVC at 24p as long as you aren't shooting in low light or that the cameras SS issue has been worked out.

Good Luck with your project.

Thanks for the replies! I hope you don't miss interpretive me now, the thing is I "cant" find a adapter to use the JVC on the P-S mini 35 here in Sweden. I think about 4 HD400 is sold in the country and the rentals haven’t bought them selves the adapter yet so that’s why I'm so concerned.
I want to use JVC with the mini 35 but cant at the moment. Hopefully I will be able to talk them in to buying the adapter before shooting but if I cant... do I dare go with just the stock lens ore should I go fore Sony with the mini 35?

Well look. There is going to be such a huge difference between the JVC stock lens and cine lenses on the mini35 (CA & DOF) that if Z1 with mini35 is your only other option then maybe you should go with it, and shoot CF25 or 50i.

Thanks! If I don't manage to get hold of the adapter I'm going to use Sony’s Z1 with the mini 35 adapter. I’ll keep you posted.

Pal Sony Z1 + Mini35. Slow it down one frame in post and deinterlace. Until JVC fixes the splitscreen issues I doubt that you can get a worry free JVC cam..

Well - I have a worry-free HD100. It's definitely more impressive than the Z1 for my needs, even with the questionable lens. No SSE in any gain settings.
