class 6 vs class 4

SDHC cards seem to be going higher for months now. Does anyone have any opinions on reliability of class 4 vs class 6. I could save some money on the Kingston 8gb class 4 cards.

Because if you have to buy a bunch of cards, that adds up after a while. Plus, if the small difference in offload times isn't a big deal to you... all other things being equal, what's the point in spending that extra $6 if you don't need to?

Nothing to think about this issue. Class 4 works fine.

Just few more minutes for offload. No Problem with HMC.

I'm going to try a kingston 8gb class 4 card, it's $6.00 cheaper than the class 6.

Well if you're giving cards away to clients then I'd do that for sure.. otherwise if you consider how long your card will last you.. an extra 6 bucks over the course of months/years of usage really is a small amount of dough :violin:

Yes I have bought and billed to client well over a 100 cards. $600.00 is not chump change.

I've been using an SD card called HAMA for the past few months. The sticker stamped onto it says Class 4. (and I paid for a class 4 price a year ago) Oddly, when I inserted the camera in the HMC and ran an info on the card, it states Class 6!

How bizarre!!!
