Class 4 Settings?

Does anyone have reliable settings for Class 4 cards? I'll be picking up some faster cards in a month, but until then, I'd love to play with my class 4 cards.

I'm looking for AVCHD and MJPEG settings if possible. I don't mind the pulldown process if Class 4 means no native 24p.

Any help would be appreciated, I'm new to this whole hack :) Sorry if this has been posted before, I searched the forum for Class 4 but didn't find anything super conclusive and I'd like this to be as reliable as possible.

The card class rating is pretty vague regarding its real performance. Usually low class cards have much better actual speeds. I suggest you measuring your actual card speed as described here:

Once you get the measured speed of your card in Mbits per sec just lower it a bit to have some headroom and give it a try in Ptool. OTOH someone else's fancy settings will not necessarily work with your particular card. It's better to experiment by yourself.

Panasonic recommends Class 6 SD cards and higher for shooting AVCHD and MJPEG movies. My Reliable In-Camera Playback Patch is designed for Class 6 cards, but there's a good chance the settings may work on your Class 4 card. I have used it without error on the Class 4 Lexar Platinum II SD card, but that card is one of the fastest. Here's a link to the downloadable PTool settings file:

I used the C settings and lpowell's settings while I was waiting for my fancy SDHC cards to come in, the Kingston class 4 4GB card I was using never dropped a frame.
