Class 10 SDXC cards

Will these new Panasonic Class 10 SDXC cards (apparently compatible with GF1/GH!) only improve still burst mode or could they help with video bandwidth down the road too or is it just overkill until the GH1 successor with presumably higher bitrates come out... thoughts?

someone tested class 6 vs class 10 (not these SDXC cards) a while back in a thread and i think there was no massive improvement to warrant paying the premium on them. I don't think they were panasonic cards though, sandisk or transcend maybe. Those SDXC cards are $$$...lol

From what I know there is no difference. The bigger difference is your upload speed to your mac/pc of your content from the card.

There has always been an unanswered question if the cam senses slower cards and reduces the bit rate to avoid dropped frames. Making the cam idiot proof.

My totally unscientific test was to use a slower card and see if I got dropped frames, I did not but with a quick cursory glance it seemed like slightly less quality image. No frame grabs ( I should try that) to verify initial impressions - sorry. However, the mind sees what it wants to see and so I do not trust this as meaning anything. I am asking the community if anyone has the answer to this.
