Is tbis Class 10 memory card:

Good enough for 60fps 1080p recording at full PH quality on the AF100? I read the sticky on memory cards and Barry said Lexar Pro series seemed to be a good buy. Wanted to confirm this card could do overcrank properly, as some of the negative reviews seemed to indicate otherwise, yet other reviews said it worked fine... any feedback? Is this what I should get for a good memory card?

Yes, Class 10 is what you need to overcrank.

I myself (and Barry, I believe) use Panasonic Gold, and I haven't had/heard one complaint about them.

The specifications for the AF100 say "better than Class 6" is required for VFR recording. This card should work fine. Beware buying SDXC cards if you have older equipment you may want to share them with, however. They'll work in the AF100, but not necessarily in other devices designed for SDHC cards (typically, 32 GB and smaller) only. This may include computer card readers -- you may need to upgrade.

C4 for regular, C6 for VFR; naturally C10 / U1 is more than adequate, and it's nice to have cards that you can dump very quickly over USB3, Thunderbolt, etc.

I got carried away in my Class description... :undecided

OTOH, better too much class than not enough! :Drogar-BigGrin(DBG)

Cool. Just wondering, why are some of these "class 10" SDXC cards $250-$300 and this Lexar $100? Am I missing any specifications or reliability issues here, or are the $300 64gb Class 10 cards just overpriced and the Lexar I linked to is great?

Be very careful buying your cards. I would stick with the major brands. Less expensive brands are just not worth the risk IMO.

I thought SDXC was just "extended capacity" i.e. 64gb+ and SDHC was "high capacity" i.e. 16gb, 32gb - is there a further difference?

I'm talking about Lexar brand, which is major. What, for example, is the difference in price to be attributed to between these two 64gb cards:

Lexar Class 10 SDXC for $100:

Kingston Class 10 SDXC for $310:

Anyone??

Also, any reason to (or not to) opt for the 128gb Lexar VS the 64gb Lexar (the 128gb is about $60-$70 more. Any problems with cards this big? Reliability? Or is it just total overkill for storage needs?

I use 16Gb cards and never fill one in a day.

I have a few of them because we do not re format them until they are backed up 2x and checked and even after that.... not until the job is complete.
ie. you need more than one card and the size of it is determined by what you are shooting, your shooting style and your post workflow management including archive.

Cards are Transcends but I am now shifting over to all SanDisk ( just bought 4 x 16Gbs) ... and retiring the Transcends to the reserve benches.
