Does anyone know if the Archos 7 media unit can act as a clam shell? would like to buy one for a friend but want to make sure it will work with and record of off a camera just like a clamshell and a mini dv tape.

Hey Just a heads up, just talked to a DP friend of mine and he uses it. You do need to have the base with it though to be able to hook up any type of RCA or Component cables. Thanks
