City Life in Slow Motion

[Hunter Starnes]

Nothing special, just edited some shots together that I got one afternoon.

Shot in downtown Dallas on the Panasonic HMC-150, mostly at 60fps.

Music by Sufjan Stevens.

Brutal critiques more than welcome!

Thanks for watching!

Is it my imagination or does Vimeo take forever to load an embedded clip? Or perhaps it's my DSL connection?

[Galleddrim]

Not just you. I stopped waiting. Maybe better to just post the link.

Hmmm why is it so jaggy? a lot of aliasing?

Embedded video replaced with link, thanks Edweirdo! Not sure why it was doing that.

Hmmm, will check on it. Might need to replace the video file. Thanks!

Fixed the video and replaced it on vimeo. Thanks for drawing my attention to it.

Cool!

As for the video, not a fan of the colour correction implemented, it's saturated and depleted of live colours. I like the original footage better.

I like the color in the raw footage as well, just playing around with the grading a little.

Yep! The 9th in the afternoon? That was probably me.

I was very cold if you couldn't tell!

[iFilm7]

WOW thats crazy, you two indirectly met xD

Enjoyed that. You didn't use a 35mm adapter?

Thank you sir! No adaptor, just the naked hmc150 lens shot with the iris as wide open as possible.

When did you shoot this? Because I saw a dude out shooting the statues (in the video at 1:12-1:22 or so) on the 9th when I was shooting my BetrayalFest entry.

Ryan, funny that I didn't see you, were you set up and shooting at the same time? Can't wait to see your film!
