Could it be that you have INPUT 1 and INPUT 2 set to the external inputs (the XLR connectors) and no mike connected?

If that's the case, the first two audio tracks would be silent, and tracks three and four would contain the audio from the internal mikes. Any application that only supports stereo audio would not show any audio at all. I'm not even 100% certain whether AVI files support more than stereo audio.

Hi,

It does it with even SD footage which in AVI can only contain unless your in 12 bit and i certianly arent using it, i though it might be the format but it does it with both AVI options

I had a 100 GB model...

I had a 100 GB model...

and had no audio problems, but I know there were problems with the 120 that were unique to it.

I had plenty of other problems, but never one with audio.

I did a review of my experience with it on epinions.com, but they didn't have the 100 model listed, so I had to include it under the 80 GB model, shown in epinions under the "ProCon" name.

FWIW, ProCon was only the distributor; Shining is the importer; I don't know who actually manufactures the units.
